Leffe Tripel

Discover

Leffe Tripel is a traditional, golden abbey beer that continues to ferment in the bottle. During this secondary fermentation, the alcohol content rises to 8.4% and the taste continues to deepen. This produces a robust and refined a beer, with a rich aromatic bouquet and a touch of lemon in the aftertaste. Leffe Tripel is a full-fledged alternative for wines with lots of body. It fits excellently chicken, game, abbey cheeses, sushi, tapas with fish and fine aperitif snacks. A rich gourmet beer, for pampering yourself or your friends.

Abbeys traditionally brew two kinds of beer: A slightly sweet, dark-brown beer and a somewhat heavier Tripel beer. Most Tripel beers have a golden colour, are fairly heavy, malty beers with a high fermentation and undergo a secondary fermentation in the bottle. Leffe Tripel contains 7 % alcohol when bottled, but fermentation in the bottle raises this to 8.4 %. The taste deepens during this secondary fermentation. This creates a beautiful taste balance between sweet and bitter, giving the beer a full, aromatic bouquet. A hint of lemon in the aftertaste crowns the work.

Leffe Tripel is a full-fledged alternative for wines with lots of body. It fits excellently with grilled chicken, game, abbey cheeses, sushi, tapas with fish and fine aperitif snacks. This beer should be served at 5° to 6° C. Beer connoisseurs love the sophisticated pouring ritual. The sediment is poured along by rolling the bottle, giving one the full punch of its bitterness. You would like it somewhat softer and sweeter? Then do not pour out all of the beer. Leffe Tripel is a rich gourmet beer for which one should take time. Like the good whisky or cognac you serve to your friends, or with which you pamper yourself after work, when coming to rest in the evening.
